| What is Industrial Seating... |
 |
...seating designed with specific function and specially selected material
to satisfy requirement of the work environment and conditions which demand
more than just ordinary seating. Here are the 4 key requirements for a good
Industrial Seating, the ergonomics, functionality, reliability
and safety that make Megatek Seating different...
|
| Ergonomics |
 |
The physcial needs and comfort at the workplace, has become a major issue
today. Millions of people are diagnosed with work related diseases each
year, in the case of worker having to sit throughout their working hours,
ergonomics is definitely a primary concern on selecting a chair. Poor seating
normally causes lower backache and poor blood circulation, long-term effects
can even include permanent damage on vertebrae. It is no surprise that workers
who are stressed unnecessarily by poor seating, are not likely to be productive
workers. Megatek seating comes with carefully designed backrest with firm
and well-positioned lumbar support. Optional "Waterfall" design seat pan
helps to reduce stress on fore thigh and enhance blood circulation. All
our seat cushion is made of cold molded PU foam.
|
| Functionality |
 |
Industrial seating is designed with specific task in mind, to assist
the users to perform their task. Functionality is critical as to how the
seating performs. For example our cleanroom ESD chair, not only as a seating
but at the same time the chair has to comply with stringent cleanroom compatibility
and ESD requirements. We provide total solution to individual's need, with
wide range of articulate mechanism, local fabrication and customization
to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
|
| Reliability & Safety |
 |
Unlike office seating, industrial seating are commonly used for 24 hours
a day, reliability of a chair becomes important. A damaged chair in a production
line means downtime, low yield and efficiency, not to mention higher maintenance
cost. Safety is equally important as accident would cause severe damage
arise from medical expenses and worker compensation.
At Megatek, our chair components are carefully selected, tested and proven on its quality and reliability.
Our chair has passed the stringent ANSI/BIFMA test, a fundamental requirement for all well constructed seating product, to ensure user safety and reliability.
Every Megatek seating comes with warranty and service support. Provide up to 3 years warranty on manufacturer's defects, depending on the model.
Every Megatek chair is serialized to retain full traceability and quality control.
Regardless of damages caused by accident, we support our customer with components level repair and a fast turn around to reduce production down time.
|
| Testing & Certification |
 |
ANSI/BIFMA X5.1 1993 Type IIa The Business and Institutional Furniture
Manufacturer's Association (BIFMA) has developed a set of test standards
in consideration of user's safety, durability and structual adequacy. This
test standard has been accredited and achieved the American National Standards
Institute (ANSI). Megatek seating has been tested and exceeded the acceptance
level stated in the above standard.
ESD Properties The most critical part of a ESD chair is its ability
to dissipate Electrostatic Charge from any part of the chair to the ground.
This property is measured by the chair's RTG (Resistance to Ground) as well
as decay time. With our proprietary fail-safe grounding devices, our ESD
chair has been tested by an independent test laboratory in the USA and being
certified to meet and exceed requirements outlined by ESD/EOS standards.
Cleanroom Compatibility Cleanroom or cleanroom ESD chairs are used
in controlled clean environment where particle generation are of major concern.
The other important factor is the contamination level of chair's components.
The first item likely to be touched by worker is the chair, should there
be any contaminants on the chair's surface, for example Chloride, Silicone
etc., the chances of bringing these contaminants to sensitive products are
extremely high which result in defective products and low yield. We tested
all our chairs's material on particle generation, ionic contamination and
outgassing. These tests were done by independent test laboratory and the
results meet or exceed industrial standards.
